Privacy Policy

Overview

VelocityCam is a privacy-first Android telemetry camera. The app records video and vehicle-relative telemetry on your device. VelocityCam does not upload your recordings, telemetry, location history, audio, or sensor data to JuMaSt Appworks LLC servers.

This policy also covers Google Play Billing (used for VelocityCam Pro purchases) and the optional email launch list on velocitycam.app, which are processed separately from the local recording features of the Android app.

Information VelocityCam Accesses (Android App)

VelocityCam may access these device features when you grant permission:

  • Camera — used to record video.
  • Microphone — used to record audio with your video.
  • Location — used locally to calculate speed and location-related telemetry while recording. VelocityCam does not request background location access.
  • Device sensors — used locally to calculate pitch, roll, G-force, and vehicle-relative movement.

How Data Is Used (Android App)

VelocityCam uses camera, microphone, location, and sensor data to create local video recordings with synchronized telemetry overlays.

  • Original video recordings are stored in app-private storage on your device.
  • Telemetry data is stored locally on your device.
  • Local session organization metadata — including custom session titles, favorites, notes, and activity type tags — is stored on your device.

Export Behavior

Exports are created only when you choose to export from within the app:

  • Exported videos are saved locally to public device storage such as Movies/VelocityCam when you choose Export.
  • CSV telemetry exports are saved locally when you choose Export.
  • GPX/KML route exports are saved locally when you choose Export. These files may contain route/location points if you choose to export them.

Data Collection and Sharing (Android App)

  • The Android app does not collect, transmit, upload, sell, or share your videos, audio, location data, telemetry data, or sensor data with the developer or third parties.
  • The Android app does not use advertising SDKs.
  • The Android app does not use analytics SDKs.
  • The Android app does not use crash reporting SDKs.
  • The Android app does not require an account or login.
  • The Android app does not provide cloud backup, cloud sync, or server-side storage.

Google Play Billing

VelocityCam uses Google Play Billing for VelocityCam Pro purchases. Google processes payment details and transaction information. VelocityCam receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock or restore Pro features. JuMaSt Appworks LLC does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.

Tester Feedback

The VelocityCam Android app remains local-first. It does not automatically upload recordings, telemetry, analytics, or diagnostic reports. Information reaches us only when a tester intentionally fills in and submits the tester feedback form on this website.

When that form is submitted, the website receives the contact information you enter, the device and app details you provide (manufacturer, model, Android version, API level, app version, version code, and installation source), the contents of your report, a short summary of your browser user-agent string, and a one-way hashed value derived from your IP address that is used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the application database.

Tester feedback is stored through Lovable Cloud (Supabase) and is never published on the website. Resend is used to send you a receipt for your submission and to notify a private administrative mailbox operated by JuMaSt Appworks LLC. Submitting feedback does not subscribe you to the launch list or to any marketing email.

Feedback records are retained while they remain useful for product support, compatibility tracking, and Founding Tester reward review. To request deletion of your feedback submission, email support@velocitycam.app and include the reference code shown when you submitted the form.

Website Launch List

When a visitor voluntarily submits an email address through velocitycam.app, the address is processed through Lovable Cloud and Resend to manage the VelocityCam launch-notification list. This website list is separate from the VelocityCam Android app.

Email addresses may be used to:

  • Confirm the subscription
  • Notify subscribers about VelocityCam testing and public release availability
  • Notify subscribers when the Google Play public release becomes available
  • Send a limited number of important launch or availability updates

JuMaSt Appworks LLC does not sell launch-list email addresses.

Resend processes contact and email-delivery information on behalf of JuMaSt Appworks LLC. Lovable Cloud stores the operational subscription record needed to confirm consent, prevent duplicate subscriptions, synchronize delivery status, and honor unsubscribe requests.

New-subscriber notifications and operational delivery alerts may be sent to a private administrative mailbox operated by JuMaSt Appworks LLC.

Subscribers can unsubscribe through the link provided in subscriber-facing emails or request removal by contacting support@velocitycam.app.

Subscription records are retained until the subscriber unsubscribes, requests deletion, or the list is retired, subject to suppression and legal records required to prevent unwanted future messages.

Submitting an email address does not create a VelocityCam app account. The submitted address is not connected to recordings, telemetry, GPS information, or other information stored by the Android app.

Data Storage

  • Original video recordings and telemetry remain stored locally on your device.
  • Exported videos, CSV files, and GPX/KML files are saved locally to your device only when you choose Export.
  • Website launch-list email addresses are stored in Lovable Cloud and synchronized to Resend, as described above.

Data Deletion

You can delete recordings from within the VelocityCam app. Deleting a recording removes the app's local database record and associated private video file.

You can remove yourself from the website launch list at any time using the unsubscribe link in launch-list emails, or by emailing support@velocitycam.app.

Permissions

VelocityCam requests only the permissions required for recording and telemetry:

  • Camera permission for video recording.
  • Microphone permission for audio recording.
  • Location permission for speed and location-based telemetry.
  • VelocityCam does not request background location access.
  • VelocityCam does not request broad storage access.

Children's Privacy

VelocityCam is not designed for children and is not directed toward children.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated as VelocityCam changes. If future versions add additional cloud services, accounts, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or other data-transmitting features, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
