Privacy Policy

VelocityCam is a local-first Android telemetry camera operated by JuMaSt Appworks LLC. The app records video and GPS telemetry on your device. VelocityCam does not upload your original recordings, audio, routes, or recorded telemetry to JuMaSt Appworks LLC servers.

The Android app does automatically send technical product analytics (through Mixpanel and Google Firebase Analytics) and crash and error diagnostics (through Firebase Crashlytics). These are described below and are separate from your recorded content.

This policy also covers Google Play Billing (used for VelocityCam Pro purchases), the velocitycam.app website, website feedback submissions, and the optional iPhone updates email list. VelocityCam Connect is a separate, future optional cloud product shown only as an interactive demo; it is not part of the current Android recording workflow.

VelocityCam may access these device features when you grant permission:

• Camera — used to record video.
• Microphone — used to record audio with your video.
• Location — used locally to calculate speed and location-related telemetry while recording. VelocityCam does not request background location access.
• Device sensors — used locally to record phone motion-sensor (G-force) values. These values are stored with the recording and can appear in CSV export; they are not shown as selectable HUD gauges and are not part of Performance Analytics.

VelocityCam uses camera, microphone, location, and sensor data to create local video recordings with synchronized telemetry overlays.

• Original video recordings are stored in app-private storage on your device.
• Telemetry data is stored locally on your device.
• Local session organization metadata — including custom session titles, favorites, notes, and activity type tags — is stored on your device.

Exports are created only when you choose to export from within the app:

• Exported videos are saved locally to public device storage such as Movies/VelocityCam when you choose Export.
• CSV telemetry exports are saved locally when you choose Export.
• GPX/KML route exports are saved locally when you choose Export. These files may contain route/location points if you choose to export them.

The Android app uses Mixpanel and Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, which features are adopted, and how reliably it works. These events are collected automatically while you use the app.

• Events — for example app opens, HUD profile usage, recording starts and completions, exports, external GNSS connection events, and error categories.
• Technical details — where applicable, app version and build, Android version, device manufacturer and model, and event-specific parameters such as recording mode, resolution, frame rate, duration, and GNSS provider.
• Identifiers — Mixpanel and Firebase may associate events with an installation or app instance using identifiers created by their SDKs. This analytics is therefore pseudonymous rather than completely anonymous. VelocityCam does not ask for your name, email address, or an account in the app, and does not forward its Mixpanel distinct ID to Firebase as a custom user ID.

VelocityCam's custom analytics events are designed to exclude GPS coordinates, route history, raw video, audio, and recorded telemetry. However, the providers receive the network IP address of the device when events are sent and, by default, may use it to derive approximate location (such as city, region, and country). Excluding GPS coordinates from custom events therefore does not prevent all location inference. As documented by Google, the Firebase SDK may also automatically collect app-instance identifiers, device details, app activity, and diagnostic information. Product analytics is separate from the app's on-device Performance Analytics feature, which analyzes your recordings locally.

The Android app uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to investigate crashes, nonfatal errors, and app stability. Reports are sent automatically when a crash or reportable error occurs.

Crash reports may include stack traces, technical diagnostic information, application and device state (such as device model, operating-system version, and app version), and installation identifiers generated by the Firebase SDK.

• The Android app does not upload, sell, or share your original videos, audio, routes, or recorded telemetry with the developer or third parties. Exporting saves a file to local storage on your device; a file leaves the device only if you then choose to share or upload it, or another app (such as a cloud backup service) copies it.
• Technical analytics and crash diagnostics are processed by Mixpanel, Google Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics as described above, to operate and improve the app. JuMaSt Appworks LLC does not sell this information.
• The Android app does not display advertisements or use advertising SDKs.
• The Android app does not require an account or login for its local recording features.
• The Android app does not provide cloud backup, cloud sync, or server-side storage of recordings.

The website does not run its own analytics, advertising, or tracking-pixel scripts and does not set its own tracking cookies. Like any website, its hosting provider processes standard request information (such as IP address, requested page, and browser details) to deliver pages and may produce aggregate traffic statistics.

Some pages use third-party content governed by that provider's own policy. Web fonts load from Google Fonts. Video players are click-to-load: no YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook player is loaded until you press play on a video, after which that platform (Google for YouTube, using its privacy-enhanced mode; Meta for Instagram and Facebook) may process your request and set its own cookies. The Kit signup form sends your email address to Kit only when you submit it.

VelocityCam uses Google Play Billing for VelocityCam Pro purchases. Google processes payment details and transaction information. VelocityCam receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock or restore Pro features. JuMaSt Appworks LLC does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.

The VelocityCam Android app does not upload your recordings or recorded telemetry. Apart from the automatic analytics and crash diagnostics described above, feedback and support details reach us only when you intentionally submit the feedback form on this website or email us.

When that form is submitted, the website receives the contact information you enter, the device and app details you provide (manufacturer, model, Android version, API level, app version, version code, and installation source), the contents of your report, a short summary of your browser user-agent string, and a one-way hashed value derived from your IP address that is used only for abuse prevention and rate limiting. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the application database.

Feedback is stored through Lovable Cloud (Supabase) and is never published on the website. Resend is used to send you a receipt for your submission and to notify a private administrative mailbox operated by JuMaSt Appworks LLC. Submitting feedback does not subscribe you to the iPhone updates list or to any marketing email.

Feedback records are retained while they remain useful for product support and compatibility tracking. To request deletion of your feedback submission, email support@velocitycam.app and include the reference code shown when you submitted the form.

Joining the VelocityCam iPhone updates list is entirely voluntary. When a visitor submits an email address through the signup form on velocitycam.app, that address is submitted to and processed by Kit (Kit.com), the mailing-list provider used for this list. JuMaSt Appworks LLC does not operate its own subscriber database for this list.

Kit handles subscription confirmation (double opt-in), storage of the subscriber record, and email delivery. The email address is used only to send the requested VelocityCam iPhone and product communications, such as development updates, beta availability, and launch news.

Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email, or by contacting support@velocitycam.app.

Submitting an email address does not create a VelocityCam app account. The submitted address is not connected to recordings, telemetry, GPS information, or other information stored by the Android app.

JuMaSt Appworks LLC does not sell mailing-list email addresses.

External processor policy: Kit Privacy Policy

• Original video recordings and telemetry remain stored locally on your device.
• Product analytics are stored by Mixpanel and Google Firebase Analytics, and crash reports by Firebase Crashlytics, under those providers' retention practices and VelocityCam's project settings.
• Exported videos, CSV files, and GPX/KML files are saved locally to your device only when you choose Export.
• iPhone updates-list email addresses are stored by Kit, the mailing-list provider, and are not stored in the VelocityCam website database.

You can delete recordings from within the VelocityCam app. Deleting a recording removes the app's local database record and associated private video file.

You can remove yourself from the iPhone updates list at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails, or by emailing support@velocitycam.app.

To ask about or request deletion of analytics or crash data associated with your installation, email support@velocitycam.app. Uninstalling the app stops further analytics and crash reports from that installation.

VelocityCam requests only the permissions required for recording and telemetry:

• Camera permission for video recording.
• Microphone permission for audio recording.
• Location permission for speed and location-based telemetry.
• VelocityCam does not request background location access.
• VelocityCam does not request broad storage access.

VelocityCam is not designed for children and is not directed toward children.

This privacy policy may be updated as VelocityCam changes. If future versions add additional cloud services, accounts, advertising, new analytics or diagnostics providers, or other data-transmitting features, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
