Car Telemetry Camera for Android
VelocityCam turns a windshield- or vent-mounted Android phone into a telemetry camera for drives you actually want to keep: canyon roads, road trips, acceleration pulls, and shakedown runs after a change to the car. You start the recording deliberately, and the session carries GPS speed telemetry alongside the video.

A typical drive

Mount and lock the phone in place
Use a mount rated for your car and position it legally. Never adjust the phone while driving; the screen and orientation stay locked while recording.

Wait for GPS, then record
Recording is blocked until GPS locks. Long-press Record for a three-second delayed start when the phone is out of reach.

Review and export the good part
Open the session in the Library, watch it back with telemetry in sync, then export the format you need.

Frequently asked questions
Is VelocityCam a dash cam?
No. VelocityCam is not currently a traditional automated dash cam. It does not offer loop recording, parking surveillance, collision detection, incident locking, background recording, or cloud backup. You start and stop each session yourself.
Does it give navigation or speed-limit warnings?
No. There is no navigation, no map routing, and no speed-limit alerting. VelocityCam records; it does not advise.
Will long drives overheat my phone?
Continuous video recording in a sunlit windshield mount generates heat. Keep the phone out of direct sun where possible and follow the thermal guide.
