HUD readouts

What the HUD shows while you record

Readouts depend on the HUD profile you choose, so not every value appears at once. Every readout uses GPS-derived speed, distance, time, and course data — no current selectable HUD exposes motion-sensor gauges.

Core telemetry

  • SpeedGPS-derived, MPH or KM/H.
  • GPS StatusLive indicator during use.
  • RecordingREC indicator, elapsed time, and orientation.

Performance HUD readouts (Pro)

  • Max SpeedHighest GPS speed reached during the recording.
  • Average SpeedAverage GPS speed across the recording.
  • Best 10sBest 10-second average speed.
  • Best 30sBest 30-second average speed.
  • Recording DistanceDistance covered while recording.
  • Recording DurationElapsed recording time.
  • CourseGPS travel direction (course over ground).
  • Distance From StartStraight-line distance from the starting point.
Library & Export

Every session in one place

Review, search, organize, analyze, export, and share saved recordings.

Library capabilities

  • Automatic, localized recording names
  • Rename, favorite, and delete on every session
  • Search across saved sessions
  • Filters, including Minimal HUD, Performance HUD, and legacy HUD recordings where applicable
  • Sort by Newest, Oldest, Top Speed, or Longest Duration
  • Pro Best 10s sorting
  • Play and Export as quick actions
  • Performance History entry point for cross-session results
  • Pro session notes, activity type, CSV, GPX, and KML when entitled

Export destinations & formats

  • OriginalPreserves the source aspect ratio.
  • TikTokVertical social format.
  • Instagram ReelsVertical social format.
  • Facebook ReelsVertical social format.
  • YouTube ShortsVertical social format.
  • Square 1:1Center-cropped square.
  • Landscape 16:9Standard widescreen.

Social-format exports use center-cropping. VelocityCam creates the export file and opens the target app or Android share interface — it does not upload directly to social networks.
