Performance Telemetry Camera for Android
VelocityCam's Pro Performance HUD is a live, programmable GPS performance-testing HUD. Choose a built-in or saved custom test — a speed range, a distance test, or a deceleration test — and the HUD arms, waits for the start condition, then shows elapsed timing, progress, splits, and the result while the video records. It is one of three Pro HUD profiles alongside Telemetry (matched GPS readout pairs) and Boat Racing (rolling-start boat tests), and it runs through the same recording, playback, and export pipeline as every other HUD.
What the Performance HUD does
Performance is built entirely from GPS data. It turns a recording into a live test: you see the test state, the clock, and the result in the frame, and the same session can be reviewed afterwards in Performance Analytics.

Performance, Telemetry, or Boat Racing?
Pick Performance when you want a test running live on screen. Pick Telemetry when you want matched GPS readouts — Max/Average speed, Best 10s/30s, distance and duration, or course and distance from start — without a test. Pick Boat Racing for dedicated rolling-start boat runs. A fixed mount is not required for any of them: position or mount the phone, or have a passenger hold it. A phone must never be handled by the operator while driving, riding, or operating a boat.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Performance and Telemetry HUDs?
Performance runs a live GPS performance test — speed range, distance, or deceleration — with arming, timing, progress, and results on screen. Telemetry shows matched GPS readout pairs (Speed, Best Runs, Session, Movement) without running a test. Both are Pro.
Does the Performance HUD show motion gauges?
No. The Performance HUD and Performance Analytics use GPS-derived speed, distance, time, and course data; motion-sensor gauges are not marketed features.
Can I create my own tests?
Yes. Alongside the built-in tests, you can save custom speed-range and distance tests and run them from the Performance HUD.
Do I need a mount to use Performance?
No. Position or mount the phone however suits the shot, or have a passenger hold it. The operator must never hold or interact with the phone while driving, riding, or operating a boat.
Are the results certified?
No. Results are GPS/GNSS-estimated using consumer GPS. They are useful for comparing your own runs, not certified timing.
Is Performance a Pro feature?
Yes. Performance is part of the one-time VelocityCam Pro lifetime unlock, together with the Telemetry and Boat Racing HUDs, premium HUD themes, Performance Analytics, and the telemetry and route export formats. Minimal is the free HUD profile.
