VelocityCam turns a securely mounted Android phone into a motorcycle telemetry camera. GPS speed, G-force, pitch, and roll are captured with the video, and exports render the HUD directly into the file. A pillion passenger who isn't operating the bike can instead use the Handheld HUD to record GPS-based speed and distance without a mount. Never interact with the phone while riding — mount it, start recording before you set off, and review afterwards. VelocityCam is not a speedometer, navigation system, or safety device.

Mount securely and start before riding
Use a vibration-tolerant motorcycle mount. Start recording (tap Record or long-press for a three-second delay) before setting off — do not interact with the phone while riding.

Let calibration happen
Record-start calibration references the phone's mounted orientation as level, so pitch and roll reflect the bike, not the mount angle.

Export where it belongs
Choose a destination and export. Vertical formats work well for Reels and Shorts; landscape works for longer edits.

Frequently asked questions

Can VelocityCam record motorcycle speed?

Yes. GPS speed is captured continuously while the phone has a GPS lock, and the reading appears in the HUD in MPH or KM/H.

Can telemetry be included in the exported video?

Yes. Exports composite the selected HUD directly into the new MP4 file so the numbers stay with the clip.

Does the app support landscape recording?

Yes. Full-sensor orientation is supported, including landscape and portrait. Screen and orientation are locked during recording.

Can I create vertical social videos?

Yes. Vertical 9:16 exports are available and Quick Share targets TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Does it work without an account?

Yes. There is no account and no sign-in. The Android app is entirely local.

Can I export the recorded route?

Yes, with VelocityCam Pro. GPX and KML route exports work from any session that includes GPS data.
