Use a marine-rated phone mount. Keep the phone protected from spray, submersion, and prolonged sun exposure. VelocityCam does not make the phone waterproof.

Yes. Speed is derived from GPS, which works over water as long as the phone can see the sky. There is no dependence on cellular coverage.
Does Route Trace require mobile data?
No. Route Trace draws from your recorded GPS points; there are no online map tiles and no map API keys.
Can I export a GPX file from a boat trip?
Yes, with VelocityCam Pro. GPX and KML route exports work from any saved session that includes GPS data.
Does VelocityCam work without cell service?
